We’re purr-leased to announce that the 2018 Edmonton International Cat Festival has raised $21,000 for local cat rescues!
The Edmonton International Cat Festival donated $21,000 between this year’s three supported charities:
Edmonton Humane Society
EEvents like the Cat Festival raise important funds that support the thousands of animals that come into our care each year. This donation will provide medical care, food and socialization for homeless and neglected cats until they can find their forever homes. Cat overpopulation is a serious problem in our community and programs at EHS like low cost spay and neuter, or TNR for feral cats helps address this issue.” – Aimee W., with Edmonton Humane Society
Little Cats Lost
“This is a massive donation for Little Cats Lost. Our ID Program, SNR (Spay Neuter Return) Program, TNR (Trap Neuter Return) Program and our Heaven Can Wait Program all end up benefitting. At the end of the day, these funds will greatly assist us to continue to rescue, save and enrich the lives of many felines and families in our community. Thank you Cat Fest for being a part of the journey.” – Virginia M., with Little Cats Lost
Zoe’s Animal Rescue
“We are so excited about this donation. It comes at a very important time for us as we are not only dealing with kitten season in full swing, but also we have had a huge increase in owner-surrender animals as the animal shelters have limited intake. This money allows us to intake and vet those cats as well as goes to our cat Spay Neuter Return program for economically vulnerable Edmonton and area residents.” – Kath, with Zoe’s Animal Rescue.
