We are so thrilled to ameownce that our fifth event, the June 1, 2019 Edmonton International Cat Festival, has raised $31,000 for this year’s selected cat charities!
$31,000 will be divided between Little Cats Lost, Zoe’s Animal Rescue, SAFE Team Rescue, Greater Edmonton Animal Rescue Society, and A Pet’s Pantry.
Each charity will receive $6,200 to help support their ongoing efforts in helping homeless cats in Edmonton, running spay-neuter and other education programs, covering vet bills and more.
This also means our total donated to cat rescues over our last 5 events has now reached $112,000!
We are so ameowzed at the meowny cat lovers who come to celebrate cats, cat culture and cat people, while raising money for cat rescues, at the Edmonton International Cat Festival—Alberta’s biggest celebration of cats!
We want to thank everyone who purrrrticipated in this year’s event—from volunteers to sponsors, vendors, media, attendees and anyone who helped spread the word about the festival!
We’ll be doing a cheque presentation with this year’s charities later in June, and in the meantime, uploading more event photos to our Facebook Page!
If you have attended the festival and have feedback (what you liked, what you didn’t like, what you’d love to see at future events, WHO (celebrity cat-wise) you’d love to see at future events), please feel free to email us at [email protected].
