June 7, 2014 proclaimed Cat Day in Edmonton!

It’s official.

Today, Caturday, June 7, 2014, is CAT DAY in Edmonton, Alberta, as proclaimed by the City of Edmonton / Mayor Don Iveson.

Proclamation

WHEREAS cats are “a-meow-zing” animals and a popular family pet;

AND WHEREAS, the Edmonton International Cat Festival is the “purr-fect” opportunity to celebrate cats and cat culture;

AND WHEREAS, this Festival offers “paw-some” presentations and educational “litter-a-ture” about our feline friends;

AND WHEREAS, funds raised from the Festival will support the Edmonton Humane Society;

THEREFORE, I, MAYOR DON IVESON, DO HEREBY PROCLAIM JUNE 7, 2014 “CAT DAY” IN EDMONTON, ALBERTA’S CAPITAL CITY.
