Catch Local Roving Cats at the May 31, 2025 Edmonton Cat Festival!

We know festivalgoers always want to see cats at the Edmonton Cat Festival—from adoptable cats and kittens to celebrity cats and also LOCAL CATS! While anyone is welcome to bring their own cats to the festival (leashed, in a stroller, carrier or backpack), this year we are presenting specific Local Roving Cats who can be found wandering the festival floors (both Main Floor & Second Floor) throughout the day, saying hello to attendees!

You’re welcome to go up, say hello, ask for pets + photos!

Visiting with Local Roving Cats is one of MEOWNY CATivities included with your festival admission!

Date: Caturday, May 31, 2025, throughout the day

Draco – 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Kitty Mojito & Lynx – 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Messi – 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

PURRTICIPATING ROVING CATS

Draco (of @sirius_and_draco)

Draco is a 6 year old rescue turned adventure cat from Edmonton. He has been adventuring with his pawrents and older brother, Sirius, since he was adopted as a kitten. His “biggest” adventure was when he slipped out of his harness on a trail in Jasper National Park in 2021 and evaded rescuers for 49 days.

Draco will be roving the festival site from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Kitty Mojito & Lynx (@kittymojito)

Kitty Mojito is a 13 year old domestic short-hair and Lynx is an almost 18 year old Bengal, based in Edmonton! Both were adopted from local rescues. Kitty and Lynx love to adventure with their pawrents. Some of their favourite adventures include canoeing on Lake Louise, a road trip to Vancouver Island, visiting Cathedral Grove and rafting down the Bow River. When they are not adventuring, you will find them snoozing in a sunbeam, watching birds from the balcony or having a picnic at a local park! Kitty Mojito & Lynx will be roving the festival site from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Messi runs on a dog engine in a cat’s body—outgoing, leash-trained, always ready to explore, and a love for head pats (but not butt pets).

Join us for our Caturday, May 31, 2025 pawty, Alberta’s biggest celebration of cats, cat culture, and cat people, that raises money for cat rescues, in downtown Edmonton. It’s going to be AMEOWZING!

The Edmonton International Cat Festival returns to downtown Edmonton on Caturday, May 31, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at MacEwan Robbins Learning Centre (10910 104 Ave.) on both the Main Floor and Second Floor, celebrating cats, cat culture and cat people while raising money for cat rescues. It’s an AMEOWZING pawty featuring a ton of CATivities for cat lovers that you don’t want to miss, and it’s all for a good cause! We are not kitten you right meow!!

Since 2014, we have donated $170,000 to local cat rescues while helping thousands of cat lovers come together annually.

100% purr-ceeds are donated to local cat rescues. This year’s rescue recipient is Little Cats Lost (Trap-Neuter-Return) Society!
