The Edmonton International Cat Festival is seeking applications from Edmonton area cat rescues who would like to be considered as donation recipients for our 2026 fundraising festival taking place on Sunday, May 31, 2026.

100% of proceeds from the festival is donated to rescues each year. Sometimes proceeds are given to a single rescue, other times donations are split between a few rescues to spread the love and support more cats in need. Local rescues have used donated funds to help with vet bills, emergency care, funding of shelter programs and more! For many rescues, the Edmonton Cat Festival donation may make up their biggest single-donation event of the year!

ABOUT THE CAT FESTIVAL:

The Edmonton International Cat Festival is the biggest event of its kind in Canada, and was the first cat festival in the country when it began in 2014. The Edmonton Cat Fest brings together cat lovers to celebrate cats and cat culture, while raising money and awareness for cat rescues! 100% of proceeds from the festival is donated to rescues and there are A TON of CATivities, cat-themed vendors, and all-things CATS happening on site.

Since 2014, the festival has raised $187,000 for local rescues!

Previously supported rescues include the Edmonton Humane Society, Little Cats Lost, SAFE Team Rescue, Zoe’s Animal Rescue, Community Cats Edmonton, Furget Me Not Animal Rescue, A Pet’s Pantry, Enoch Animal Services & more!
