The Edmonton International Cat Festival presents the 18+ Adults Only Cat Themed Drag + Burlesque Night: “Step Yr P😸ssy(cat) Up” in partnership with Queer Joy YEG taking place on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 9910 in Downtown Edmonton with funds from this particular Cat Fest Month event donated to the Alberta Sphynx Rescue!

This 18+ cat-themed Drag-Burlesque show features four purrrrformers with meowvellous sets that are sure to have you meowing for more!!!

Tickets are Pay What You Can with a Minimum Suggested: $35 per person. Cash tips collected during the event will also be donated to Alberta Sphynx Rescue.

There will also be a Cat Fest Block Party happening on this same night on the same block on Thursday, May 23, 2024 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. if you’d like to start your celebrations early before the show!

The Cat Fest Block Party will feature food and drink specials offered from neighbouring businesses Dolly’s Cocktails and The Common. Reservations recommended as seating is limited.

Alberta Sphynx Rescue provides a loving sanctuary for hairless, partially hairless, and specialty breed cats who in recent years due to the increasing popularity of unique and exotic breeds, has also led to a rise in irresponsible breeding practices resulting in a surge of cats being acquired by individuals ill-prepared to meet their specialized needs. Many of these cats end up in distressing situations, lacking the proper care and attention they require for optimal health and well-being. Alberta Sphynx Rescue provides a safe haven for these vulnerable cats, offering them a second chance at a happy and fulfilling life.
