We’re excited to ameownce sponsor City of Edmonton Animal Care and Control will be a presenter on our Petland Main Stage at the June 1 Edmonton International Cat Festival!
Cats in Your Community, presented by the City of Edmonton Animal Care and Control, explores what to do if you spot outdoor cats (how do you know if it’s lost, owned, or feral?) and how to make sure your lost cat gets home safely to you.
Cats in Your Community, presented by Tanya Laughren, Community Relations Advisor with the City of Edmonton Animal Care and Control, runs from 11:50-12:30 p.m. on the Petland Main Stage.
Tanya will discuss:
- Four types of cats in your community and how you can help them
- Examples of deterrent kits
- A survey about Cats in Your Community and how you would like to see them helped
- The value of pet licenses! Did you know: all cats over six months are required by law to be licensed? And licensing fees go to support cat programs like Barn Buddy, Trap Neuter Return and housing and care of over 4,000 lost cats per year?
This is impurrtant information for all cat owners in Edmonton!
All presentations are included with your festival ticket.
