About The Common

The Common is a staple in Edmonton dining and nightlife. Located downtown, The Common is a gastro-lounge where typical comfort food is elevated to uncommon heights. Set in a lounge style space with a vintage meets modern décor; their aim is to create a community based upon experiencing new food, music and culture in Edmonton. Perfect for happy hour, dinner, corporate functions, an after work drink, or late nights out—and host to many local events!

This year’s 2023 Edmonton Cat Festival is a WEEK of events!
Rather than one big in-purrson event, this year we are hosting multiple, smaller cat-themed events from May 20, 2023 to May 28, 2023 as part of the first-ever Edmonton Cat Fest WEEK presented by Homes Alive Pets. 100% of purr-ceeds will be donated to Furget Me Not Animal Rescue. Since 2014, the Edmonton Cat Fest has donated $130,000 to local rescues.
Register or Donate to Win!

All ticket registrants and festival donors in the month of May will be entered for a chance to win a Cuddle Session with Kittens!

If you register for a ticketed Cat Fest Week event or make an online donation to Cat Fest in the month of May, you will be entered to win a Cuddle Session / Night with Kittens from Furget Me Not Animal Rescue. They’ll bring adorable kittens to you and a group of friends for a cuddle session / hang-out.

100% of proceeds from this year’s Edmonton Cat Fest Week will be donated to Furget Me Not Animal Rescue!
Please note: Cat Fest is not able to provide a donation tax receipt.

Since 2014, the Edmonton International Cat Festival has held a cat pawty to celebrate cats, cat people and cat culture, while raising money for cat rescues helping cats in need (donating $130,000 for local rescues!) Since 2020 we have hosted virtual events due to the pandemic.

While the 2023 in-purrson events will be smaller in scale than our typical one-day pawties, 100% of purr-ceeds raised from events and sponsors will continue to be donated to a local rescue helping cats in need. This year’s selected donation recipient is Furget Me Not!

We’ll also be encouraging you to take advantage of Cat-themed promotions across the city as part of the Cat Fest Week Cat Pawspurrt!
