Join us at Yogalife Studios for CAT YOGA with kittens from Community Cats Edmonton. We are offering TWO classes on Sunday, May 21, 2023.
The classes are:
12-1 p.m. OR 2:30-3:30 p.m.
at Yogalife Studios South Edmonton (2065 98 St.)

Both sessions feature kittens from Community Cats Edmonton.
100% purr-ceeds from the cat yoga sessions will also be donated to Community Cats Edmonton.
Note: this is a casual beginner yoga class (that entails a lot of kitten cuddles!) Additional note: originally we had planned a second class on Sunday, May 28 but had to cancel. Both cat yoga classes now take place on May 21.

Note: this year’s main donation recipient is Furget Me Not Animal Rescue, however we wanted to spread the love (and kittens!) so Community Cats Edmonton will be providing kittens for the classes and as a thank you we will be donating 100% class proceeds to them.
About the Instructor Janelle Snow
Janelle Snow (She/Her) (200-RYT) will be leading the in-person yoga practices for our 2023 Cat Festival Week, with kittens from Community Cats Edmonton! “If you’ve wanted to try yoga and the only difference you know between upward facing dog and downward facing dog is how your own pupper likes to play, don’t even worry about it – this is CATFEST, after all! Join me for some CAT-arunguas, kitten poses and all the other cat puns I can come up with.”

If you register for a ticketed Cat Fest Week event or make an online donation to Cat Fest in the month of May, you will be entered to win a Cuddle Session / Night with Kittens from Furget Me Not Animal Rescue. They’ll bring adorable kittens to you and a group of friends for a cuddle session / hang-out.

Purrticipate in the Cat Fest Week Cat Pawspurrt!
From May 20-28, 2023, Edmonton businesses will be offering cat-themed food or drink specials for Cat Fest Week.
You can keep track of all the Cat Fest Week CATivities / events and business specials in our digital Cat Pawspurrt.
There are a few ways to use the Pawspurrt for a chance to win prizes:
1. Print the Pawspurrt and physically check off your Cat Fest Week purrticipation.
2. Submit how many Cat Fest Week events or items you tried via an online form (to be linked).
3. Share about the events you attend or the cat-themed items you’re trying and tag @YEGCatFest, @HomesAlivePets, and the hashtag #YEGCatFest

Since 2014, the Edmonton International Cat Festival has held a cat pawty to celebrate cats, cat people and cat culture, while raising money for cat rescues helping cats in need (donating $130,000 for local rescues!) Since 2020 we have hosted virtual events due to the pandemic.
While the 2023 in-purrson events will be smaller in scale than our typical one-day pawties, 100% of purr-ceeds raised from events and sponsors will continue to be donated to a local rescue helping cats in need. This year’s selected donation recipient is Furget Me Not!
We’ll also be encouraging you to take advantage of Cat-themed promotions across the city as part of the Cat Fest Week Cat Pawspurrt!
