How to purrticipate in Cat Fest Week May 20-28, 2023:

1. Plan to attend one, some, or all Cat Fest Week events
2. Visit businesses featured in our Cat Pawspurrt to try cat-themed food + drink

This 2023, rather than one big in-person event, we are doing a week of smaller cat-themed activities from May 20-28, 2023. Note: some events are free + drop-in while others require registration to purrticipate. Please read event descriptions carefully!

If you register for a ticketed Cat Fest Week event or make an online donation to Cat Fest in the month of May, you will be entered to win a Cuddle Session / Night with Kittens from Furget Me Not Animal Rescue. They’ll bring adorable kittens to you and a group of friends for a cuddle session / hang-out.

Purrticipate in the Cat Fest Week Cat Pawspurrt!

From May 20-28, 2023, Edmonton businesses will be offering cat-themed food or drink specials for Cat Fest Week. You can keep track of all the Cat Fest Week CATivities / events and business specials in our digital Cat Pawspurrt. There are a few ways to use the Pawspurrt for a chance to win prizes:
1. Print the Pawspurrt and physically check off your Cat Fest Week purrticipation.
2. Submit how many Cat Fest Week events or items you tried via an online form (to be linked).
3. Share about the events you attend or the cat-themed items you’re trying and tag @YEGCatFest, @HomesAlivePets, and the hashtag #YEGCatFest
Prizes up for Grabs:
– Cat-themed Homes Alive Pets gift baskets valued at $100
– Cat pet licenses from the City of Edmonton Animal Care & Control Centre 
– Cat-themed gifts from local businesses including Majesty & Friends

The 2023 Edmonton International Cat Festival is a Cat Fest WEEK presented by Homes Alive Pets, featuring daily cat-ivities / events taking place across Edmonton from May 20-28, 2023. 100% purrceeds from Cat Fest is donated to local rescues. This year’s donation recipient is Furget Me Not Animal Rescue. Since 2014, the Edmonton International Cat Festival has raised $130,000 for local rescues!
