After an exciting virtual weekend for this year’s Edmonton International Cat Festival, we are so excited to ameownce that:
The May 29 & 30, 2021 virtual Edmonton Cat Festival raised $9,000 for local rescues Little Cats Lost, Second Chance Animal Rescue, and Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society!
The total was split between this year’s three supported rescues ($3,000 each) and will make a big impact on supporting the important work these rescues do to help cats and kittens in need in the Edmonton area.
In addition to the $9,000 donation, and the previous 5,000 lb of cat food donated to rescues by sponsor Homes Alive Pets, we were able to donate additional cans of Weruva cat food to supported rescues too!
The cans were donated as part of a buy one can donate one can promotion Weruva and Homes Alive Pets ran during the Caturday of the festival—so the donation was also thanks to cat lovers who purchased Weruva cat food that day! Thank you!
This year’s total donated to cat rescues brings the Edmonton Cat Festival’s total $$ raised for rescues since we began in 2014, up to $126,000.
We could not support cat rescues, and celebrate cats, cat culture, and cat people, without support from purrticipants, partners, and sponsors! Thank you to this year’s virtual festival sponsors:
